Ali Zacharias got her start in the business by developing her line Alexandra, with the innovative T-skirt as the focus.  The line capitalized on fun slogans and easy, casual California style, and was sold in Nordstroms and many brick-and-mortar boutiques.

She also developed a line of mens hats and wristbands that were worn by a number of celebrities such as Adam Levine from Maroon 5, Jason Collins from the Washington Wizards, and Tony Gonzalez from the Kansas City Chiefs

Unfortunately, a designer must wear many hats (and not just the creative) and she didn’t market her line enough once it was in the stores, and the line faltered.

Since then, she’s used her wealth of experience to help other designers bring their lines to production, all the while using her own story as a cautionary tale about the tough business side of fashion.
